Creative Newborn Photography | Avon, CT

Maggie & Sead were wedding clients of mine just over one year ago so I was honored when they asked if I would photograph their son for his newborn photography session! I was hoping for a more creative newborn photography session for such special clients of mine, and when Maggie told me she would like to use dark green and blue tones, I not only had a special outfit made but also used a digital backdrop for one of the poses later in the session as well! I just love this dark green color so much with baby boys and it’s become a very popular color request! Alden was in the middle of an earlier growth spurt, so it took a little longer for him to settle and his startle reflex was pretty sensitive. This made posing take a little longer and we weren’t able to get quite as many set ups since this was a Petite Session, but the great thing about doing this for a living for a long time is that no matter what the situation, I can still always photograph some beautiful images for my clients! Since Alden was a little more unsettled we used more wrapping/covering techniques to calm him down and that seemed to work better. The little outfit I had purchased looked just adorable on him with the fur hood and was definitely a parent favorite! A creative bowl set up is one of my favorite things to do during a newborn photography session and I was glad we were able to create a few different looks here. It makes me so happy that they will have a custom wood cluster set to display in their home and some keepsake digital copies of some of these photos as well to enjoy of this milestone.
