Gender Reveal Paint Smash | Newington, CT

What a great week to celebrate a paint smash! (See why NEXT week!) We had to wait a little while to post these but I’m so excited to finally celebrate our gender reveal paint smash we planned and photographed back in January for one of my clients due with her baby in 2017! This mom has been planning with me since early 2016 after seeing my paint smash session with Dylan. This session type is very unique to my studio and while it certainly takes some logistics and planning with a bigger mess, I think it’s a great way to get toddlers and older children involved in doing something fun! Many kids don’t like to just sit and pose, so having some fun to do that’s creative is always a great way to get those giggles and smiles out! An on location sessions are a possibility too! This paint smash was also important because their baby is a rainbow baby – signifying a baby born after a loss. So we incorporated a rainbow backdrop by HSD to make sure that was recognized and set out the paint for the girls to use! Both girls were a little tentative at first, but once we started painting the reveal color (PINK!!) and cracked a few jokes they were laughing together and enjoying the rest of their gender reveal paint smash.
