When good friends from college call you to say that, even before having children, they knew when they did that I would be photographing his newborn session – what an honor! Nathan’s newborn session at my Newington, CT studio was going to be extra special, and they left it up to me to determine a theme/color scheme. Now Nathan’s Dad is a HUGE sports fan, especially UConn basketball and The Boston Red Sox. So doing sports themed newborn photos for them I knew would blow them away! I decided to stick with a neutral winter white as a base and add in colors from those two teams main colors – red and blue. Thankfully I was able to work with one of my favorite vendors to create a few custom set ups to go along with these colors, the special one being a little baseball slugger uniform you’ll see below! Nathan came to the studio all the way from Pittsfield Massachusetts! And at just 2 weeks old he still only weighed about 6lbs! But luckily this adorable peanut slept most of the morning away after some breakfast and let me pose him in so many ways! He even shot us a few smiles along the way just to make his parents smile a little bigger. I feel so lucky to capture these first photos for his parents and grandparents, and I can’t wait to see them displayed and cherished in our beautiful Legacy Box along with some keepsake digital files and prints for his parents to enjoy! Expecting? Let’s talk about how we can create a unique newborn photography session for your special delivery!
