You might just remember this big brother’s session from a few years ago, when we photographed his 3-month baby photos! And I was so honored when a few years later, his Mom was pregnant with baby sister and asked that I photograph the next upcoming milestones – starting with studio maternity photography! Maternity sessions are a great way for parents to remember their growing baby and time before their arrival to the world. You can choose from in studio or on location (or in home) and we’ll work to create the perfect story of this special time. Maternity photos in the studio allows us to get creative with lighting and backgrounds and sometimes gives younger siblings a space to explore in a quiet setting. Little man was a bit shy at first, which we’ve seen a lot the past year due to COVID 19 more than usual. Many toddlers are having more limited interactions beyond their immediate families which makes them a little more wary about the lady with the camera behind the mask. But we made sure it was all about Mom and her beautiful emerald green gown that she chose to wear! I like allowing clients to choose and bring their own outfits for the session. Body types, personalities, and tastes are so different, so instead I like to help you with suggestions and then work backgrounds around what you plan to wear. And it was perfect for using one of my new fabric backdrops which gave us a little taste of spring! I just loved working with this family again and I can’t wait to meet their little one in just a few months!
