Summer Family Photos | Newington, CT Family Photographer

Planning for family photos, especially during the most popular times of the year, can take some time! But good things come to those who wait! Such is the case for our summer family photos with the P Family! Dad had reached out to me all the way back in May hoping to arrange a gift certificate and special date to get together for Mother’s Day. I always love helping with such a nice surprise! Summer scheduling on the weekends does fill quickly though, so we had to wait until the end of the summer to meet. But it was a gorgeous morning at one of my favorite spots – Rockwell Park in Bristol, CT. It’s not used nearly as often but I love it for family sessions! There are so many places to explore and different backgrounds to use in a relatively small area! I LOVE the outfits that Mom picked out ahead of time, which we coordinated together in advance. I want my clients to look their best and have images they can look back on for a long time! In the summer when the trees are that deep green (and the grass sometimes is also), you need that pop of color to really separate yourselves from the constant green! They all looked great, and their adorable son was just a perfect model! For 2.5 he did so well, and it’s another reason I usually suggest early morning sessions for my babies and toddlers – they are just more likely to cooperate and feel refreshed! We enjoyed a nice morning full of smiles, tickles, gallops (great job Dad even on a hurt ankle!), running, car bribes (gotta get those smiles!), and swinging with Mom & Dad. We really had a nice time together and I just love how their gallery came together! I look forward to seeing them again for another future milestone and hope they enjoy their images as much as I do! Don’t forget to schedule your family session well in advance! We can even do in-home sessions in the winter time, which is perfect for casual snuggles and documentary style photography. We are now booking through the end of 2019 and into 2020.
