Lulu | Confetti Photo Session | Windsor, CT
When you have a little girl who’s been coming to your Newington, CT photography studio for many years, each year you need to come up with something unique for her birthday portraits! It’s still so important to engage children during their photoshoot to capture their personality and REAL smiles. No “cheese” here allowed! 🙂 So when Lulu’s Mom came to me ready to see what I could come up with next….introducing a Confetti photo session! Now this wasn’t only about the glitter confetti that we used. We also incorporate a unique balloon garland in the background. As many of you know I am well known for my custom and unique set ups. So I thought this would give just the right amount of background without taking away from the activity we were doing. And it was PERFECT! This is probably one of my favorite sessions ever, to date! We spent some initial time with Lulu just taking some simple portraits for her parents. Then it was time to get MESSY! Throwing, blowing, inspecting, collecting – we did it all! And for the next hour Lulu was in a bliss of gold confetti during her glitter photo session! We ended up with so many photos, it was a good thing that Lulu’s mom decided on an heirloom album to showcase about half of her beautiful gallery! I can’t wait until it comes in along with their beautiful custom frames they picked out! This album might become another sample in the studio so you can look through it too! These sessions would be perfect for a birthday girl or boy from about age 4 and up. I think a mature/developmentally advanced (fine motor skills) 3 year old could do as well, but ideally we want them playing without too much help from mom and dad. That is where the magic happens! 🙂 But don’t worry, my popular cake smash, paint smash, and other custom birthday sessions are great for younger ages too! Be sure to contact me about a month in advance to schedule and plan as these are custom setups and designs. I can’t wait to do another glitter photo session with the next birthday milestone!
