Boho Cake Smash | Manchester, CT

Little Zara came to my Newington, CT studio for her first birthday boho cake smash last month and I was so excited to finally design this style of theme! Boho design has been very popular the last two years and it’s a great way to have a natural look with pops of color. Zara’s mom was hoping for a somewhat muted background with more flowers in the foreground. We found some great greenery banners and flowers at the store and really put together something special along with a cute tent prop to match her dress. Zara was a little unsure about what the reason for the session was, but after playing with some of my wooden cars and trying some frosting from her matching cake by Betty’s Cake Creations, she was all set! Her favorite part I think of all was bath time! This is a great way for kids to get cleaned up as well as have some fun if the prior parts of the session didn’t go as well. Zara LOVED splashing once she figured out it was fun! We captured some really cute smiles and splashes during this part also. I love how her gallery came out and that her parents now have many of them printed to display and share from this milestone! Enjoy!
