Harry Potter Cake Smash | West Hartford, CT

Another cake smash theme that I’ve been waiting to come back around! A few years ago I was asked to do a Harry Potter cake smash for a first birthday photoshoot and I was so much fun! I know that a lot of parents were fans when they were children (my husband was really big into it!) so it’s fun to have them use it as an inspired theme for their child’s birthday. This time around, as I always do, we update it a little bit to give a little more contrast with the white paper and used some playing cards as the “confetti”! How adorable was this?! Not as adorable as the little boy who came to see me for it! He arrived already sporting an adorable custom t-shirt that his parents made for him and was all smiles right away! They said he was a very social child and I could tell that immediately! It makes me happy that these young kiddos are getting more comfortable with strangers again after COVID-19 has really affected them a lot. So sometimes it has taken longer to warm up when arriving at the studio. But this guy didn’t need it at all! After some play with fun props, it was time for cake! And boy did this little one LOVE cake! He couldn’t wait to literally…dive in…and you’ll see plenty of that in his photos below! Thank goodness for bath time as he had frosting alllll over himself! We had so much fun with his photoshoot and I love that they will have a beautiful Signature Album and corresponding digital files to enjoy!
