Fairy Woodland Cake Smash | Glastonbury, CT

One of the great things about working with my studio is that everything is customized from the start! So when it comes to your child or family’s photoshoot, we work together to come up with something that works best for you and your desires. This family reached out to me before the holidays hoping to plan for their daughter’s first birthday in January. Initially they really wanted some simply family and individual photos of their daughter. I explained how popular my cake smash sessions were – not really for the cake eating part – but for how many things that we do during this session to showcase their growing development and keep them interested for a typical 45 minute session. So we ended up combining these simple portraits they were hoping for with a cute custom scene (and a watermelon cake they made that they wanted to try) to really make something special. They chose a combination of a few of my themes into a fairy woodland cake smash design and it really came out adorable! She seemed very proud of her parents (and of course they were of her!) and loved flashing us plenty of smiles throughout. We played balloon, with some different props, and of course had to try some of that watermelon cake too! Even bath time was fun! In the end, they had a beautiful gallery of their child to enjoy to celebrate turing
