Enchanted Garden Cake Smash | South Windsor, CT

Our enchanted garden cake smash theme, along with our woodland theme, have been so popular for requests this spring! I just love being able to put our custom ideas together for my clients at my Newington, CT photography studio. And because all of our props are real, we’re able to mix and match to create even new ideas too! This little one’s Mom contacted me well in advance to plan her photoshoot, knowing the calendar was filling up quickly. She quickly devised on the enchanted fairy garden theme, loving the backdrop, design, the animals, and butterflies. Just such an adorable set up! And this little one was a  smiles right from the beginning! We’ve told a lot of our parents to be prepared for any type of reaction from little ones born during the pandemic, but it’s clear that she was more that comfortable in our space. We made sure to give them time to get used to the surroundings and most importantly, have fun! We took pre-cake portraits, played with balloons, explored the butterflies, and then it was time for cake! She loved her delicious cake from Sweets by Jenna and using the spoon as a tool to keep playing. Bath time was even more fun as we used our bubble machine and watched her try and “catch” the bubbles as they fell. Overall it was a joyful morning together and I just love the favorites they picked out! Although it was a difficult choice, here are some of the many favorites below.
