Butterfly Cake Smash | Enfield, CT
Sometimes a client comes to me with a new idea for a cake smash theme and I love being able to take what I have and some new items to create it in my own vision! Mom was so excited for her daughter’s first birthday milestone and couldn’t wait to celebrate it with a butterfly cake smash – hosted by your’s truly! I had a newer backdrop that I thought might be good to use after I added a lot of butterflies! Thank goodness for poster putty! 😉 Added in some florals, greenery, lights, and a few small props and we were set! Although Mom was hoping for use of more of my larger props, they were going to take away from the simple news of the set and the butterflies. So, I created a very small secondary scene with props to do her portraits in on the other side of my studio as another option. Win win! Mom loved how both scenes came out and little miss did too! She loved playing with some of the props, balloons, and butterflies. Cake time was a fun mess and especially already being a walker, she loved standing up and exploring as much as she could! She has SO much fun playing that when it was time for a bath, we were ready for a nap! But that was ok because we had so many photos already, we snapped a few quick ones in the tub and cleaned off so we could get into pajamas and ready for snuggles with Mom! I just loved how her gallery came together and the beautiful heirloom album their purchased their photos in!
